Following on our first post about preparing to exhibit at The Business Show, 2015, find out what we learnt from the day.
After a long day of driving to London and setting up our stand we were all ready for the event ahead. The exhibition pop up was looking great and we had plenty of goody bags prepared ready to give out. Of course our trip was filled with long hours and hard work but we learnt some key lessons to take forward into our next exhibition.
1.) Make sure you have plenty of storage
Especially if you have samples of your products and give-aways, it’ surprising how much room they take up!
2.) Don't forget your business cards and have a mechanism to collect contact details
We had an online sign up form which worked on an iPad (simple yet effective) and we also had plenty of business cards on hand for networking. We were completely shocked how many people turned up to the event without business cards. You need to make sure people remember you and having a professional business card is rule number one when approaching new clients.
3.) Have something on your stand area that really catches the eye.
As our stand was really colourful it really stood out against our corporate surroundings this was an instant talking point for anyone visiting our stand. We also chose to wear casual attire to create a relaxed yet personable atmosphere.
