What if I don’t have a backlit poster design?
No design? No problem! We offer a range of backlit poster design templates in our library, perfect for lightbox displays. Whether you need inspiration or just a starting point, our templates make it easy to create an eye-catching design.
Prefer to start from scratch? We also provide blank templates compatible with design programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. Once your design is ready, export it as a print-ready PDF for the best results.
Which material is used for backlit posters?
Our backlit posters are printed on durable 205-micron Coala Backlit S film with a matt finish, specifically designed for use with lightboxes. This material ensures your design remains vibrant and sharp when illuminated, making it an ideal choice for retail displays, menus and promotional signage.
How are my backlit posters printed?
Your backlit posters are produced on our state-of-the-art EFI™ VUTEk® H5 digital inkjet machine, using LED-UV technology to achieve sharp image quality and rich colour.
What turnaround times are available for backlit posters?
We offer two turnaround options for your backlit posters. Choose one working day for urgent projects or three to four working days if you have a little more time. Simply select your preferred option on the product page.

Do you sell lightbox frames?
Unfortunately, we don’t currently sell lightbox frames, but they are available from other retailers. Be sure to choose a frame that matches the size of your backlit poster to bring your design to life.

Backlit Poster Delivery
Standard Turnarounds
For our standard turnaround and delivery options, you have until 6:30pm to order and approve your artwork. Simply select an option above with a delivery date that suits you and we’ll ensure it arrives with you on time.
Extended Areas
If your delivery address is in one of the postcodes highlighted on our delivery help page as an extended area, delivery will take a further working day.
Delivery Prices
Our standard delivery cost is £4.99, which is DPD tracked delivery. You can also upgrade to DPD pre-noon delivery for £9.99. Standard delivery is free on orders over £75. You'll be able to select your delivery option at the checkout. For more information, please see our delivery help page.

Blank Templates
Our blank templates are set up to the right size with guides that include where your design will be cut and the safe area for text. After creating your artwork you can upload once you have added your print to the basket.

Artwork Made Easy
1. Set up your artwork in your own design software at the exact custom size you need, then add a 3mm bleed and a 3mm safe zone on all sides. This ensures your design prints edge-to-edge and no important details are lost when the pages are trimmed.
2. Upload your design after adding your product to the basket, our proofing tool checks for common issues and generates a proof for you to approve.
3. If you encounter any issues with your artwork that you can't resolve online, you can contact our team at artwork@instantprint.co.uk.
