What size are folded business cards?
Both fold options measure 85 × 55mm when folded. Their open sizes are:
- Long-edge fold: 85 × 110mm.
- Short-edge fold: 170 × 55mm.
What is the difference between a long-edge and short-edge fold?
A long-edge fold opens along the 85mm edge, like a small tent card. A short-edge fold opens along the 55mm edge, like a small book. Choose the option that suits how you want customers to open and read your design.
Will my folded business cards arrive folded?
Your cards arrive flat and pre-creased, ready for you to fold along the crease.
Can I write or stamp on folded business cards?
Yes. Our 350gsm uncoated stock is suitable for writing and stamping, making folded cards ideal for appointment reminders and loyalty schemes. Leave a clear space in your design for handwritten details or stamps.
How do I set up artwork for folded business cards?
For printing inside and outside, supply a two-page PDF: one page showing the outside spread and one showing the inside spread. Each spread contains two panels.
Use the blank template for your chosen fold edge to position your front, back and inside artwork correctly.
How much bleed should I add, and where should I position text?
Extend backgrounds and images 3mm beyond each outer cut edge. Keep important text and logos at least 3mm inside the cut edge, and avoid placing text across the central fold.
Follow the blank template's guides when setting up your artwork.
How can I check that my design will fold correctly?
Print your artwork at actual size, cut it out and fold it along the centre. Check that the front, back and inside panels face the right way and that the reading order makes sense.
This is particularly useful when choosing between long-edge and short-edge folds.
What if I do not have a folded business card design?
Use the blank artwork templates in the Templates tab to create your design in Photoshop, Illustrator or InDesign. A PDF template is also available. Choose the template that matches your fold edge before you start designing.
How do I upload my folded business card design?
You will be prompted to upload your artwork when you add your folded business cards to your basket. If your design is not ready yet, you can upload it from your basket later.
When will my folded business cards arrive?
Check the delivery date shown when selecting your quantity and turnaround. Make sure your artwork is ready to approve promptly so your order can progress to print.

1. Set up your artwork in your own design software at the exact custom size you need, then add a 3mm bleed and a 3mm safe zone on all sides. This ensures your design prints edge-to-edge and no important details are lost when the pages are trimmed.
2. Upload your design after adding your product to the basket, our proofing tool checks for common issues and generates a proof for you to approve.
3. If you encounter any issues with your artwork that you can't resolve online, chat with our team for a quick resolution.

Standard Turnarounds
For our standard turnaround and delivery options, you have until 6:30pm to order and approve your artwork. Simply select an option above with a delivery date that suits you and we’ll ensure it arrives with you on time.
Extended Areas
If your delivery address is in one of the postcodes highlighted on our delivery help page as an extended area, delivery will take a further working day.
Delivery Prices
Our standard delivery cost is £4.99, which is DPD tracked delivery. You can also upgrade to DPD pre-noon delivery for £9.99. Standard delivery is free on orders over £75. You'll be able to select your delivery option at the checkout. For more information, please see our delivery help page.
