Frequently Asked Artwork Questions
What material will my flags be printed on?
We print on 110gsm Flagknit Polyester. This is a strong, yet lightweight material that can withstand any wet and windy conditions.
How will the flag arrive?
Your flag comes ready to assemble. You can find our instructions on how to do this here!
Can I design the base of the flag?
The base of the flag won’t be printed, so you won’t need to supply us with any artwork for the base.
What is included in my order?
Your order will include the items based on the finishing option you select:
- Flag Only – Just the printed flag (ideal for replacements).
- Pole Only – A full fibre flag pole, without a base.
- Flag + Pole + Base – A complete set, including the printed flag, pole, and your chosen base.
All options (except ‘Flag Only’) come with easy-to-follow assembly instructions. Please note: a carry case is not included with this product.
Can I order a base without a flag?
We don’t currently offer the ability to only buy a base.
How are they made?
Our flags are made with tough Polyester material and printed on our state-of-the-art EFI VUTEk FabriVU 340i+, handstitched in the UK. They’re built to withstand the elements while maintaining their vibrant colours and crisp details.
How much wind can they withstand?
Our flag pole can withstand winds up to the speed of 45km p/h.
How do I wash my flag?
The flag material is machine washable.
When will they be delivered?
Flag orders approved by 2pm will be dispatched for delivery within three working days. Delivery takes a further working day.
How do I upload my flag design?
You should upload your flag artwork after placing your order. Email it to artwork@instantprint.co.uk.
Will my flag remain stationary?
Our ground spikes and large bases come with a spigot, allowing the flag to rotate in the wind.

Standard Turnarounds
For our standard turnaround and delivery options, you have until 6:30pm to order and approve your artwork. Simply select an option above with a delivery date that suits you and we’ll ensure it arrives with you on time.
Extended Areas
If your delivery address is in one of the postcodes highlighted on our delivery help page as an extended area, delivery will take a further working day.
Delivery Prices
Our standard delivery cost is £4.99, which is DPD tracked delivery. You can also upgrade to DPD pre-noon delivery for £9.99. Standard delivery is free on orders over £75. You'll be able to select your delivery option at the checkout. For more information, please see our delivery help page .

Our blank templates are set up to the right size with guides that include where your design will be cut and the safe area for text. After creating your artwork you can upload once you have added your print to the basket.

Artwork Made Easy
1. Set up your artwork in your own design software at the exact size you need, then add a 20mm bleed and a 20mm safe zone on all sides. This ensures your design prints edge-to-edge and no important details are lost when the fabric are trimmed.
2. Upload your design after adding your flag to the basket, our proofing tool checks for common issues and generates a proof for you to approve.
3. If you encounter any issues with your artwork that you can't resolve online, you can contact our team at artwork@instantprint.co.uk.
