Frequently Asked Artwork Questions
Which paper type should I choose?
Premium silk is a classic choice for our greetings cards. Uncoated makes it easier to write on, and Premium Card gives you the best of both worlds, the outer stock of silk and the inners being uncoated.
How do I set my artwork up?
To design your foil, check out our foil artwork guide. Please note that foiling must be 6mm from the edge of the page and cannot extend outside of the safety area shown on our templates.
What are they printed on?
If you order less than 500 greetings cards, we’ll print them digitally on our iGen press. Order quantities over 500 are printed lithographically on our Heidelberg.
When will my cards be delivered?
Card orders approved by 6:30pm will be dispatched for delivery the next working day. Delivery takes a further working day. For example, if you approved your order by 6:30pm on a Monday, we’d dispatch your order on Tuesday and it’d be delivered on Wednesday.
How do I upload my design?
When you add your cards to your basket, you’ll be prompted to upload your artwork. Or, if you want to continue shopping, you can upload your artwork in your basket at a later time.
How do I add foil to my print?
To see our foil options, select 350gsm silk with matt cover lamination. Then, you’ll be able to pick from a range of foil printing colours. To design your foil, check out our foil artwork guide.

Are my greetings cards sustainable?
All cards are printed on responsibly sourced, FSC certified stock. Here at instantprint, we’re conscious about cutting our carbon footprint, which is why we’re committed to doing everything we can to use sustainable energy and reduce waste. The envelopes included with your order are also made from FSC certified paper. All of our greetings card printing takes place in our South Yorkshire facility, which is powered by 100% renewable energy. Standard Turnarounds
For our standard turnaround and delivery options, you have until 6:30pm to order and approve your artwork. Simply select an option above with a delivery date that suits you and we’ll ensure it arrives with you on time.
Extended Areas
If your delivery address is in one of the postcodes highlighted on our delivery help page as an extended area, delivery will take a further working day.
Delivery Prices
Our standard delivery cost is £4.99, which is DPD tracked delivery. You can also upgrade to DPD pre-noon delivery for £9.99. Standard delivery is free on orders over £75. You'll be able to select your delivery option at the checkout. For more information, please see our delivery help page.

Blank Templates
Our blank templates are set up to the right size with guides that include where your design will be cut and the safe area for text. After creating your artwork you can upload once you have added your print to the basket.

Artwork Made Easy
1. Set up your artwork in your own design software at the exact custom size you need, then add a 3mm bleed and a 3mm safe zone on all sides. This ensures your design prints edge-to-edge and no important details are lost when the pages are trimmed.
2. Upload your design after adding your flyer to the basket, our proofing tool checks for common issues and generates a proof for you to approve.
3. If you encounter any issues with your artwork that you can't resolve online, you can contact our team at artwork@instantprint.co.uk.
