1.) What has been the toughest part of setting up your business and getting to where you are now?
I definitely struggle with anything academic, especially with my reading and writing. I find it difficult to put things into words, and struggled with how to position the business from a marketing point of view that people would find interesting.
2.) Why did you enter the inspirational business awards?
Small businesses very rarely get any recognition for the hard work they put in to make things happen.
3.) What do you think makes your story so inspirational to other small business start-ups? And why do you think you deserve to win?
A series of unfortunate events nearly stopped me from achieving my dream, but I kept on going! I feel as though I have overcame huge obstacles to get to where I am today.
4.) If you could give one piece of advice to small business start-ups, what would it be?
Try not to rush into anything. One of my biggest downfalls with past failed businesses is that I admittedly jumped in! When I set up Party Memory Makers, I made sure that I researched into every aspect before jumping in feet first.
5.) If you win, what do you plan to do with the prize money and promotional products?
I would love to expand my business further and invest in some of the coolest kid’s party supplies on the market. I also have some outstanding debt that I would like to clear to help me achieve this dream.
