Here at instantprint, we tailor our services to the needs of small and micro businesses, so it’s great to hear stories from our customers about their success, and the ways they’ve managed to use print to get ahead in their industry.
We recently heard from South Street Cafe, which was set up in 2012 by Rowan Joyce, her son Tom and partner Richard Belfield. Their vision was to create a local hub for their community. With a relaxed atmosphere and a shabby-chic vibe, they sell a range of homemade cakes, sandwiches and their very own ice cream.
In addition to the cafe, South Street also has a small gift shop and gallery where local artists are able to display and sell their work. They also support the local community by hosting a variety of recreational and support groups.
A friend recommended instantprint to Rowan and Richard, so they went online to order some table talkers to display in their cafe. In order to further raise awareness of their delicious products, the pair also supplied some of these to local business who sell their ice cream.
Due to the success of South Street ice cream, they have recently gone wholesale and now supply to local cafes, restaurants, gastro pubs and even an art house cinema. They will be attending the national trade fair ‘Caffè Culture’ this year to spread the word about their urban ice cream – with table talkers in tow.
Tom is the Creative Director at South Street Cafe and is responsible for turning their fantastic flavour ideas into a reality. The business recently ran a competition for a new flavour ‘centrepiece’ for their spring collection, the winner of which was a blueberry and lemon curd flavour with an intense purple colour and unique zing! Sounds yummy!
