Our printed paper bags are available in a range of sizes depending on the handle style.
Flat Handle Bags

How much weight can the paper bags hold?
The recommended carrying capacity depends on the bag size and style.
Flat and Twisted Handle Bags
- Small: up to 3.5kg
- Medium: up to 4kg
- Large: up to 5kg
- XL: up to 6kg
- Wine Bottle Bag: designed to carry 1 bottle
Handleless Bags
- Small: up to 2.5kg

Can you print in full colour on paper bags?
Yes. Your artwork is printed in full-colour CMYK, making it ideal for logos, illustrations and branded designs.
Printing is positioned within a fixed area in the centre of the front of the bag and does not extend to the edges.
What area of the paper bag can be printed?

The printable area does not extend to the edges of the bag.
Can I print on both sides of the paper bag?
At the moment, our custom printed paper bags are available with single-sided printing only.
Artwork is printed on the front of the bag, so a different design cannot currently be added to the back. Double-sided printing is something we're considering for the future.
How are the handles attached?
Our twisted paper handles are securely glued to the inside of the bag. Medium, Large and XL sizes also feature reinforced patches for additional strength.
Are the paper bags food safe?
Our paper bags aren't certified for direct contact with food, but they can be used to carry pre-packaged food, takeaway containers and other wrapped food products.
This makes them suitable for restaurants, cafés, bakeries and takeaways where food is already contained or packaged.
Can I add lamination or special finishes?
No. Our printed paper bags are made from Kraft paper, which isn't suitable for lamination or embellished finishes.
Do the paper bags arrive assembled?
Yes. Your printed paper bags arrive fully assembled and ready to use, so there's no folding or construction required.
Simply remove them from the packaging and they're ready for your customers.
Are there any colour restrictions when printing on Brown Kraft paper bags?
Yes – we’re unable to print white ink on Brown Kraft. Due to the natural texture and absorbency of the material, it will give artwork a rustic, softened look.

Express Turnarounds
Select our industry-leading "Express" turnaround option, place your order, and approve your artwork before 5pm and your print will be delivered the next working day.
Standard Turnarounds
For our standard turnaround and delivery options, you have until 6:30pm to order and approve your artwork. Simply select an option above with a delivery date that suits you and we’ll ensure it arrives with you on time.
Extended Areas
If your delivery address is in one of the postcodes highlighted on our delivery help page as an extended area, delivery will take a further working day.
Delivery Prices
Our standard delivery cost is £4.99, which is DPD tracked delivery. You can also upgrade to DPD pre-noon delivery for £9.99. Standard delivery is free on orders over £75. You'll be able to select your delivery option at the checkout. For more information, please see our delivery help page .

Blank Templates
Our blank templates are set up to the right size with guides that include where your design will be cut and the safe area for text. After creating your artwork you can upload once you have added your print to the basket.

1. Use our free templates
Select 'customise a free template' after you add your print to the basket. In our design tool, you'll also have the option to start with a blank template so you can build your own design.
2. Design Yourself
Use the product measurements to the right to create a design in a third-party tool. Or download one of our blank templates that can be found under the images of the product.
Upload Your Design
After adding your print to the basket, our proofing modal will appear. This will check for common issues and generate a 'proof' – simply check and approve this proof to confirm your order! Alternatively, you can email your artwork after purchase to artwork@instantprint.co.uk .
