What material are vinyl floor stickers printed on?
Our floor stickers are printed on 95mic white removable floor vinyl. This is a super-adhesive stock that’s really thin, so it only gives a slight (barely noticeable) raise on the floor which helps prevent the edges from tripping people up and peeling.
We apply a 100 micron clear PVC film laminate to all stickers, which means your print is protected against abrasion, moisture and colour fade caused by UV, plus your stickers are slip-resistant (assessment group R9 - DIN 51130).
How do I apply my printed vinyl floor stickers?
To apply your sticker, you’ll first need to clean the floor area with solvents to remove any grease or dirt that could prevent adhesion. Then, take a clean, dry rag and wipe the area again.
Next, peel away a small area of the backing paper to expose the adhesive.
Position the graphic where you’d like it on the floor, sticking the small area you’ve peeled away down.
Remove the backing and apply the sticker with pressure using a squeegee or roller, making sure to avoid trapping any air bubbles.
Can I clean my indoor or outdoor floor stickers once they’re down?
Yes, you can! Our stickers are made to withstand the wear and tear of high foot traffic areas, but this means they will occasionally need to be cleaned.
To do this, please wait at least 24 hours after applying them. Then clean using the same technique you would use to clean the floor, using diagonal strokes.
What kinds of surfaces can I apply my floor graphics to?
Any kind of flat flooring works well with our vinyl floor stickers, however, painted surfaces will affect the adhesive. We also don’t recommend using floor graphics on stairways or joints as these are areas with a high risk of stumbling and peeling.
