How thick are magnetic signs, and what are they made from?
instantprint's magnetic signs are made from 0.85mm white gloss magnetic vinyl. The thin, flexible material attaches magnetically to suitable metal surfaces without adhesive.
They suit removable business branding on cars and vans, including driving school signs, trade advertising and delivery vehicle branding.
Will magnetic signs stick to my car or van?
instantprint's magnetic signs attach to magnetically receptive metal panels, such as steel. They won't attach directly to aluminium, plastic or glass, so they aren't suitable for every vehicle panel.
Test the exact position with a magnet before ordering. Choose a smooth, flat area large enough for the whole sign, clear of trim, ridges, rust and panel gaps.
What sizes can I get magnetic signs in?
instantprint's magnetic signs come in A1, A2, A3, A4 and custom sizes.

How do I fit a magnetic sign to my vehicle?
instantprint's magnetic signs need full contact with a clean, dry, smooth metal panel for a secure fit.
- Clean the vehicle panel and magnetic backing with a mild detergent, then dry both completely.
- Place the sign on a flat area, clear of ridges, trim and panel gaps.
- Smooth the sign into position so the whole backing and every edge sit flush, with no air pockets.
- Check that the sign is firmly attached before driving.
To reposition it, lift it away from a side edge and reapply. Don't drag the sign across the paintwork or pull it by a corner.
Will magnetic signs damage my car's paintwork?
instantprint's magnetic signs attach without adhesive, but correct fitting and regular cleaning are important to protect the paintwork. Dirt or moisture trapped behind a sign can cause problems.
Remove the sign regularly to clean both the backing and vehicle panel. Dry both completely before refitting, and lift the sign off rather than sliding it across the paint.
Magnetic signs are removable advertising, rather than a permanent vehicle covering.
Can I leave magnetic signs on my vehicle in the rain?

Store them flat in a clean, dry place and never fold them. If stacking several signs, keep the magnetic backs from touching each other. Clean and dry the signs before storage and check they sit fully flat before reusing them.
