Zoe Warner is one of the ten finalists in the instantprint Inspirational Business Awards, read more about her story and her business, Therapies4Forces in this interview.
1.) What has been the toughest part of setting up your business and getting to where you are now?
Not having enough time to fit in everything I would like to and needing more therapists in areas where there is a lot of need.
2.) Why did you enter the inspirational business awards?
I want to inspire others. I am just an ordinary mum of 6 children and if I can do something which makes so many peoples lives better, then I believe anyone can.
3.) What do you think makes your story so inspirational to other small business start-ups? And why do you think you deserve to win?
I started T4F up when I had so much else going on: an injured husband, six children and I was starting my own business up (as I needed something that I could work around being a carer for my husband and family).
I am also now doing a degree in health and complementary therapy and making sure my CPD is current and I know what’s happening in the industry. I hope to start my Master’s degree next year.
4.) If you could give one piece of advice to small business start-ups, what would it be?
Make sure you make time for your family and friends – and also for yourself.
5.) If you win, what do you plan to do with the prize money and promotional products?
As T4F is mainly self-funded, it will be nice to be able to pay the website hosting for the next couple of years. We also need some mobile couches which can be used for disabilities. The promotional materials will be used to let people know about us, so whether this is clients who can benefit from our free service, therapists who would like to volunteer for us or doctors so they can refer to us.
