But how did the world’s largest business card come about?
“Really, we wanted to test ourselves. instantprint co-owner, James Kinsella, said: “What better way to celebrate our recent move to larger premises and investment in the very latest printing technology, than to demonstrate we can print just about anything!”
The business card was made out of a 5mm Westland foam centred board with a matt finish. Despite the ambitious nature of this, printing only took six seconds.
After the record had been confirmed by Guinness, the team had some fun, and sent a world’s biggest business card to two customers who had ordered normal sized cards. They were received by Kevin Harper, director at Leeds business iSourceIT and Doncaster based Red 10’s Head of Distribution, Emily McAnulty – much to the pair’s shock. In Numbers – the World's Largest Business Card
It measures a whopping 2293 X 1485mm, 728 times larger than a normal business card – In contrast the smallest card instantprint produce is The Mini Business Card at just 85x25mm.
Despite having a huge area of 3.40 metres squared, the card keeps its thinness and is just 5mm thick.
It costs the fantastic price of just £99.99 and was printed on the large format HP Scitex 11000 inkjet printer.
